Meet Our Awesome Staff!

Cheryl L. Marshall (Managing Director) has been working at MBT for the last 30 years. She became managing director in 2007 and since that time has been instrumental in the growth of MBT and its awareness in the national theatre conversation. She is proud of the work her "Theatre family" produces season after season and even more thrilled to see you, our patrons, at every play. She would like to thank Larry and the 3 Js and her 4 adorable grandchildren for their constant love and support.

Travis W. Walter (Artistic Director) is an alumnus of Oakland University and has been an employee at Meadow Brook Theatre since graduating in 2002. In May of 2010, Travis was named Artistic Director of Meadow Brook Theatre. He previously held the position of Interim Artistic Director at the theatre during the 2009-2010 Season. He continues to enthrall audiences by bringing Michigan, North American and world premieres to life on Meadow Brook Theatre’s stage. In 2013, he was named one of Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson’s Elite 40 Under 40, professionals from various business, government and non-profit sectors charged with giving recommendations to improve quality of life in Oakland Country. Travis has won numerous awards for his directing at MBT and has directed over 55 productions at the theatre. Travis was the youngest person to be appointed as Artistic director of MBT and has currently held the position the second longest.

Britt Sicker (Stage Manager / Company Manager) is excited to join the company at Meadow Brook Theatre after over a decade on the road. Originally hailing from Cleveland, Ohio, she earned her B.F.A in stage management from Wright State University and her M.F.A in stage management from The University of Cincinnati, College Conservatory of Music. She has worked at theaters and companies all over the country including: The Player’s Guild Theater, The Rising Phoenix Theatre Company, Ovation Theater Company, Thomas More Theatre, The Human Race Theatre Company, Jersey Productions, Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati, Forestburgh Playhouse, Atlantic Stage, Norwegian Cruise Line International, Cirque Le Masque, New Stage Performing Arts Center, Greg Thompson Productions and Meadowlark Productions. Favorite credits include traveling productions of "Patti LuPone: Don’t Monkey With Broadway", "Kinky Boots", "Jersey Boys", "Rock of Ages", "Million Dollar Quartet", "Priscilla Queen of the Desert", "Legally Blonde", "Marilyn: Forever Blonde", "Burn the Floor," "Choir of Man" and “Six.” Favorite regional credits include productions of: "Ragtime", "Cabaret", "Chicago", "Into the Woods", "Dreamgirls", "The Fantasticks", "Jekyll & Hyde (The Musical)", "Buddy: The Buddy Holly Story", "Winter Wonderettes", "How to Succeed in Business without Really Trying", "The Complete History of America (abridged)" and "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe". Britt has been lucky enough to work and travel in 40 U.S. states, 62 countries and 6 continents. Britt has been a proud member of Actors’ Equity Association since 2010.

Brian Kessler (Production Manager) is originally from Indiana and a graduate of the Indiana State University’s Theatre Department. Starting at MBT in the fall of 2004 as a Scenic Carpenter, and in 2008 taking over as Technical Director, Brian is thrilled to be moving into the role of Production Manager for the 22-23 Season. Brian is also a Scenic Designer with over 35 design credits with locally. Some of his favorite scene design credits at MBT include "Shear Madness," "Johnny Manhattan," "Altar Boyz," "Atomic," "Lysistrata Jones," “Mary Stuart,” “Reunion: A Musical Epic in Miniature,” “Dracula: A Rock Opera,” “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow,” and “Boeing, Boeing". Outside of MBT he has also designed for Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, The Ringwald, Oakland Community College, and Spiro/The Other Mirror Productions. Brian has also worked in film as a Production Set Designer, at The Detroit Parade Company as a parade artist, and as the Technical Director for Deliriodel'Arte. Daniel Silverman (Technical Director) is thrilled to be back working in Michigan as he grew up here and attended Groves High School in Birmingham. Additionally, he earned his Bachelor’s in Theater Arts from the University of Michigan. After college, Daniel interned at Florida Studio Theater and The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts where he worked on The Mark Twain Prize for American Humor and The Kennedy Center Honors among other projects. He also served as the Director of Technical Arts for Midland University, Technical Director for the Department of Theater and Film at the University of Toledo. Technical Director for Hope Summer Repertory Theater and attended graduate school at Carnegie Mellon University. Daniel has worked on live performances ranging from ballet to plays and rock concerts in venues from barns to opera houses in various capacities including project manager, technical director, stage manager, totaling over 100 productions When he is not working, Daniel enjoys dining out with friends, exploring the vast world of craft beer, watching Michigan football, and spending time with his niece and nephew.

LisaMarie Gabriele (Group Sales Manager) After working for the Detroit Pistons for the past 26 years, LisaMarie has finally fulfilled her lifelong dream and joined the Box Office staff at Meadow Brook Theatre. LisaMarie is a graduate from Oakland University and has worked as a performer for more than 30 years. She has appeared at EPCOT Center, Universal Studios, and was the resident Gakmeister at Nickelodeon Studios. She has also performed Improv Comedy at many Renaissance festivals across the country. She is very happy to call Meadow Brook Theatre her new home.

Sharon Harper (Box Office Manager) started working on the box office sales staff here over 15 years ago, later moving up to supervisor and then to manager. Her recent job off hours is being grandmother.

Tim Baum (Box Office Assistant Manager) is thrilled to be a full time member of the Meadow Brook Theatre Box Office staff. As a musician, Tim has contributed to several productions over the years, including "The Rocky Horror Show", "Life Could Be a Dream", "Talking With", "Macbeth" and others. He also performed at several Feet For Seat fundraisers as a member of the amazing Mike Duncan Band.

Riley Stone (Scene Shop Foreman) is originally from New York. Riley has worked and lived in New Mexico, and Florida, working mainly as a theatrical technician and as a carpenter. They have also worked as a residential carpenter and a barista. Having moved to Michigan in April of 2022, they are very excited to start working for Meadow Brook Theatre in the 2022-2023 season.

Isabella Harvey (Scenic Carpenter) started at Meadow Brook Theatre in October 2022. Originally from Kansas, they got their BA in Theatre at Emporia State University. With experience in every part of theatre, on stage and off, they fell in love with carpentry and props while working for the Pacific Conservatory Theatre. Favorite projects include productions of Romeo & Juliet, The Addams Family, A Dog's Life, and Disney's The Little Mermaid. Being partnered between the scene shop and prop shop has been a dream, and they look forward to learning and contributing so much more.

Jordan Hayes-Devloo (Scenic Carpenter) is a former student of Musical Theatre at Siena Heights University, where he was onstage in 11 mainstage productions and was a scenic carpenter for many more. His favorite onstage credits include Sunday in the Park with George (George), Romeo & Juliet (Benvolio), Young Frankenstein (Frederick Frankenstein), and Rent (Paul). He is excited to be getting his professional career started with Meadow Brook and wants to thank his family, mentors, and loved ones for their encouragement and support.

Jeremy Burzuk (Head Stage Technician) A performer as well as theatre technician, Remy has been in charge of our backstage crews during performances for over a decade.

Kristen Gribbin (Properties Director) started working at MBT in 2006 where she has created props for over 75 shows. Some of her favorite shows to work on include "Atomic", "Once on This Island", "Dracula: The Rock Opera", "Reunion" and "Shout! The Mod Musical". In addition to her work in Props, Kristen is also a Scenic Designer and Scenic Artist. Some of her favorite sets that she designed here over the years include "Fancy: A Country Jukebox Musical", "Blithe Spirit", "Mom's Gift", "The Explorers Club", "The Bikinis", "Cole Porter's You Never Know", "The Haunting of Hill House" and "Enchanted April". She has also designed and/or painted sets for Peanut Gallery Players, The Encore Musical Theatre, Planet Ant, Water Works Theatre Company, the JET, Performance Network and the Hilberry and Bonstelle Theatres at Wayne State. She holds an MFA in Theater - Scenic Design from Wayne State University. All my love to my husband, Matt, who supports me in everything I do and deserves all the credit for keeping me sane. Hugs to all my family, both those I'm related to by blood and by choice. And a big thank you to my family here at Meadow Brook Theatre.

Jade Jaarda (Wardrobe Supervisor) is excited to be working at Meadowbrook Theatre as Wardrobe Supervisor. She graduated in the spring of 2023 from Michigan State University, obtaining a BFA in Apparel and Textile Design and a BA in Theatre. She has designed and coordinated costumes for performances at MSU and Interlochen Center for the Arts, and has been a team member and leader of wardrobe for multiple shows at Michigan State. She also collects skeletons. She would like to thank her parents for supporting her ambitions and encouraging her, and her sister for sharing the same love for the arts.

Liz Goodall (Costume Shop Manager) has had the pleasure to be the costume shop manager and a costume designer for Meadow Brook Theatre since the fall of 2007. She holds an MFA in Costume Design from Wayne State University and a BA in Theatre from Michigan State University. Favorite costume designs for Meadow Brook include "Working", "Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery", "Mary Stuart", "The Constant Wife", "Atomic", and "Dracula: A Rock Opera". Other costume designs have been for the Hilberry Theatre, Tipping Point Theatre and Water Works Theatre Company, among others. She would like to thank her ever supportive husband for all that he contributes to her success.

Mary Pettinato (Costume Shop Foreman) currently designs costumes for our "A Christmas Carol". She began her theatre career at Meadow Brook in 1993 as a Scenic Artist Assistant and has since worked as a Stagehand, Props Assistant, Wig Mistress, Production Assistant, Stitcher and Wardrobe Mistress. She was also the Costume Designer of "The Rocky Horror Show" '05-'07. Her professional career has included five years in NYC working both off and on Broadway on shows such as "Zombie Prom" and the revivals of "The Boys in the Band" and "I Do! I Do!" as well as dressing the first 3 ½ years of "Rent" and a year of "Riverdance" on Broadway.

Gwen Lindsay (Scenic Artist) is looking forward to her 7th season at Meadow Brook as Scenic Artist. She is a local area multi-purpose designer focusing mainly on scenic and lighting design with the occasional properties design and scenic artist work. Some of her recent designs include scenic and props for "Big Red Button" at the Matrix Theater and lighting for ConteXture Detroit's inner:DETROIT:visions.

Griffin Proctor (Master Electrician)

Mike Duncan (Audio Engineer) is proud to be back as resident sound designer for his 12th full season at Meadow Brook. Previous designs include "The 39 Steps,""Shout! The Mod Musical" and "Boeing-Boeing." An accomplished musician, he has composed scores for several productions, including "On Golden Pond," "Mindgame" and "Rabbit Hole." Mike has worked as a designer and a musician for many production companies in Michigan and elsewhere but always considers Meadow Brook Theatre his home and family. Much love to Rob, Jessica and Sarah.

Meet our Interns!

Raegan Cantrelle (Acting / Administration Intern) is so excited to be a part of the Meadow Brook team! She is a recent graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi where she received a BFA in Acting. Some of her favorite roles include Bernice (The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940), Elise (The Miser), Ancestor (The Addams Family), and Edith (Blithe Spirit). Other than acting, she also has a love for stage combat. She would like to thank her friends and family for always supporting her and her dreams!

Caridad Guy (Stage Management Intern) graduated from the University of Alabama in December of 2021 with a BA in Theatre concentrating in Stage Management. Since then she has worked as a professional freelance stage manager in various states across the country. Her most recent works include Ragtime (Assistant Stage Manager), A Year With Frog and Toad (ASM), and Anything Goes (ASM). She is excited to work with Meadow Brook Theatre and continue to learn and grow with this company. She would like to thank her parents and partner for their endless love, support, and understanding!

Lillian Levine (Costume Intern)

Jacob Lipski (Acting / Administration Intern) is extremely excited to be a part of the Meadowbrook team this season! This past May, he graduated from Wayne State University with a B.F.A in Acting and a Minor in Musical Theatre. His favorite, and most recent, credits include Cabaret (Herr Schultz), Rent (Ensemble), and Spring Awakening (Adult Men). In addition to acting, Jacob is also a passionate director, having directed three full length musicals: Fly By Night, The People vs. Friar Laurence; The Man Who Killed Romeo and Juliet, and most recently The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical.

Kaley Norsworthy (Properties Intern) is excited to be joining the Meadowbrook team this season! She graduated from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in 2021, and during her time there she served as properties director, scenic charge, and scenic designer.  She is also a theatre educator and enjoys working for educational, professional, and community companies. With a passion for community building and advocacy, she uses theatre as a way to connect, engage, and inspire.
